Log into the server where the Navision database resides.
Use a System Administrator level user account to access the server. This will ensure you have the ability to create backups.
Ensure you have selected the correct database and right click > Tasks > Back Up …
There may be a default location selected to save the backup. You can change this by clicking the remove button, then clicking add and selecting a new destination. If you do select a new destination, ensure it is easy to get to. Ensure the backup type is selected as full from the drop down menu.
Before clicking 'OK' to begin the backup, navigate to the Backup options and select the Compression method to Compress backup. This reduces the size of the backup, which will mean a small file to upload to bridgeD.
