In order to upload your Sage 300 data successfully, you will need to ensure that you have the correct permissions associated with your Sage 300 account. Without these permissions, you will not be able to complete the upload process.
The suggested changes can be made by either your IT Department or the individual with Admin Rights.
Requirements for Sage 300 Users:
- You must have a login for the Company database
- Your user account must be an SQL user account
- You must have a login for the Server
- Access must be public and db_datareader
Amending User Login
Log onto the Instance where the Sage 300 DB are stored
View the Logins which are stored within the Security folder
Right click the user to view the properties for the login details. Select the Server Roles option from the left hand side menu.
Ensure this is set to at least Public.
Next, select the User Mapping option for the specific database. Ensure that the Membership is set to both public and db_datareader.
Once the following changes have been made, you should be able to upload normally via Connect.
